GoGreen Home Energy Financing Contractor Newsletter  |  December 16, 2021

Experienced with heat pumps? We want to hear from you!

The State of California is investing in heat pump technologies to support its policy goals in the energy sector. Contractors who have experience in heat pump installation and maintenance will be set up for success in the upcoming shift in the space and water heating market.

Does your company install heat pump HVACs or water heaters? If so, you can now update your contractor listing on GoGreenFinancing.com to let customers know!

Clicking the button below will take you to a brief survey that lets us know to update your listing of offered services on GoGreenFinancing.com. We will also reach out with information on opportunities to layer GoGreen Home financing with incentives from the State. Please feel free to reach out with any additional updates for your listing.
Update your public listing to include heat pump technologies.
Are heat pumps new to you? Here are a few tips:
  • Get up to speed on heat pumps.  As California moves toward its policy goals, your business will benefit from familiarity with heat pump HVAC systems and heat pump water heaters. These measures are becoming increasingly popular alternatives to traditionally gas-powered appliances, offering increased comfort alongside reduced emissions.
  • You can learn about up-and-coming decarbonization measures, installation requirements, and more through regional energy network (REN) and community choice aggregator (CCA) trainings. Check their websites for upcoming technology-specific trainings:
    • TECH Clean California (statewide incentives for heat pump technologies up to $6,600 plus online electrification knowledge training hub)
    • BayREN (Bay Area)
    • 3C-REN (San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties)
    • Sonoma Clean Power (Sonoma County)
  • Learn new skills or refresh credentials through investor-owned utility (IOU) trainings. Each of the California IOUs offer learning opportunities, from introductory building science to technology or sector-specific topics. To better understand how building codes and energy efficiency may impact your work (and maximize your customers' investment in heat pump technologies), look for trainings related to Title 24, zero net energy (ZNE), building science, and high performance homes. Each IOU’s current training offerings can be found below:
