Financing for Heat Pumps and Other Electric
Measures Now Available to More
Customers
|
|
GoGreen Home is expanding and
simplifying! Through a new partnership with
the TECH Clean California Initiative (TECH), you will be
able to offer GoGreen Home financing for heat pumps and
other electric measures in Publicly Owned Utility (POU)
territories, so long as the property receives gas from
an IOU (SDG&E, PG&E or SoCalGas). For example,
electric measures in SMUD or LADWP territory will become
eligible for financing up to the program maximum of
$50,000, provided the property also receives gas from
PG&E or SoCalGas.
Old rule: Customers served by a
gas IOU and electric POU, like SMUD or LADWP, were
limited to financing electric measures (up to only 30%
of their total loan amount).
New Rule: As long as a customer has gas
service from PG&E, SoCalGas or SDG&E, there is
no limit to the amount of electric measures they can
finance!
-
These customers can finance an entirely electric
project – 100% of the project, up to $50,000
-
Heat pumps, which are critical to California’s
decarbonization efforts, are now available
everywhere!
-
Electrical panel upgrades can also be financed
to support the heat pump installations
You can begin planning and selling these
projects today!

Start Using the Updated Itemized Invoice
|
|
As we noted earlier this month, small but important
updates have been made to the Itemized
Invoice to accommodate this expansion. You’ll
also notice now that eligible measure IDs can be
selected from a drop-down list. Contractors should begin
using the dark green version dated
2/23/22 for projects as soon as possible. The old
Itemized Invoice (blue version) will sunset by March 18.
|
|
If you have recently opened the Itemized Invoice,
you may need to clear your browser’s cache or open
the link in a private browser window to view the new
version.
