A contractor in Alameda County asked: How do I know if a project is eligible?

Answer: Qualifying a project is easy! Just ask yourself the following questions.

  1. Is the customer eligible? The applicant’s business must have 100 or fewer employees, annual revenue of less than $15 million, or meet the SBA size guidelines for their industry.
  2. Is the property eligible? The property must be used for business activities and receive gas or electric service from PG&E, SCE, SDG&E, or SoCalGas.
  3. Is the equipment on the prequalified energy saving measures? If not, the project may still qualify through the professional certification method.
  4. Am I an approved GoGreen Business contractor/ project developer?

If the answer is “yes” to all four of these questions, the project is likely eligible. To view a detailed list of eligibility criteria for GoGreen Business projects, click here.

Reminder: On-Bill Repayment

In case you missed it, GoGreen Business now offers the option for your customers to repay their energy upgrade through their utility bill. We currently have three participating finance companies — Prime Capital Funding, Verdant Commercial Capital, and Renew Energy Partners — offering OBR for projects from $25,000 to $5 million and including a variety of financing products, even ESAs. Reach out to a participating finance company to find out how you can start selling projects using OBR.
