Start the new year on the right foot by reviewing tips to help you pass QA/QC checks on all your projects. Remember, the Contractor Support Team conducts randomized quality assurance and quality control checks on jobs once they’re completed. Projects are subject to checks for a period of roughly 12 months following completion.
Take note of the tips below to make sure you’re always QA/QC compliant.
- Pull Permits
- Make sure to pull permits with the appropriate agency and provide permit numbers to the program.
- Permits DO NOT need to be finaled for you to enroll your project and get paid! After enrollment, the Contractor Support Team will reach out to you to confirm permits have been finaled for QA/QC.
- Document Your Work
- Take pictures and videos of your completed work. You can do this on your mobile device.
- Keep an Eye on Your Inbox
- Respond promptly to inquiries from the Contractor Support Team regarding QA/QC documentation and photo/video verification.
- Save a Record of Each Project
- For 18 months after completing the installation, retain all documentation for your project including invoices, scope(s) of work, copies of permitting documentation, and records showing where the project was installed.
- When in Doubt, Ask the Experts
- Refer to your state licensing board for permit requirements.
- Reach out to the Contractor Support Team at gogreen@egia.org or call 888-987-3443 for additional assistance.
NOTE: Projects that are non-compliant with GoGreen Financing QA/QC standards will trigger additional training and may impact your company’s status within the program.
